In addition to what Don said, Crystal XI R2 has been out of support for several years. While it is possible to run it in compatibility mode on Windows 10, it is not supported. If you can, you will be better off upgrading to Crystal 2016, which is the latest version. This software created by the same company that provides The Report Viewer Pro.The Report Viewer Pro is a more modern and more flexible version of the software, but this version (Report Viewer) works better with legacy versions of Crystal Reports (8.5, 9, & 10). If you have connection errors, you can email the software providers, and they will help you configure the software.

I am using Visual Studio 2017 to develop an ASP.NET Core application which uses the version of Crystal Reports that's on SP22. I will be deploying this application onto a Windows 2008 Server which already has another ASP.NET application which uses the version of Crystal Reports that's on SP17.
If I install the SP22 runtime on that server, will my existing application break or will they be able to run side by side without issues?
This article talks about installing multiple versions of Crystal Reports for development purposes, but that's not that what I'm asking here. I'm talking about runtime only, not development.
This question says we can install multiple Crystal Reports runtimes without issues, but it's too old and I'm wondering if things have changed since then. Especially since my existing application targerts .NET framework 2.0 and the new one will target .NET Framework 4.7.1
This question, asked here about 4 years ago, still leaves me in the dark.
As I understand, the .NET CLR 2.0 is no longer supported by Crystal Reports (see this document, page 9). My existing application uses that runtime and I can not update it right now, thus I need to make sure that installing the new Crystal Reports runtime (the one on SP22) will not break that application.
Is it safe for me to install the latest Crystal Reports runtime on the Windows Server without fear of breaking my existing application?
Note: I asked this question in the Crystal Reports community last week and have gotten no response. I was hoping someone here would have some experience in the matter and would shed some light.
Thank you

The article from SAP supports you pointed out https://apps.support.sap.com/sap/support/knowledge/public/en/1216278 applies not only for development purposes; it clearly explains which version can be installed on the same computer without issue :Basically : each major can be installed on the same machine , but only one version of each major , since Crystal Reports 9.
So, if this is correct, you should not face any issue. I recommand nevertheless that you try before (test server, VM..) modifying your production server

Jurassic park games free online. Crystal Reports is a business intelligence application, marketed to small and medium businesses[1] by SAP SE.
History[edit]
Terry Cunningham and the Cunningham Group originated the software in 1991.[2] Crystal Services Inc. marketed the product[3] (originally called 'Quik Reports') when they couldn't find a suitable commercial report writer for their accounting software.[citation needed] After producing versions 1.0 through 3.0, Crystal Services was acquired by Seagate Technology in 1994.[4] Crystal Services was combined with Holistic Systems to form the Information Management Group of Seagate Software, which later rebranded as Crystal Decisions and produced versions 4.0 through 9.0. Crystal Decisions was acquired in December 2003 by BusinessObjects, which produced versions 10, 11 (XI) and version 12 (2008).
SAP acquired BusinessObjects on October 8, 2007 and released Crystal Reports 2011 (version 14) on May 3, 2011. The latest version released is Crystal Reports 2016 (version 14.2.x) on March 8, 2016.
The file extension for Crystal Reports' proprietary file format is .rpt. The design file can be saved without data, or with data for later viewing or sharing. Introduced with the release of Crystal Reports 2011 (version 14.0), the read-only .rptr file extension option allows for viewing, but cannot be modified once exported.[5]
Several other applications, including Microsoft Visual Studio versions 2003 through 2008, and Borland Delphi, at one time bundled an OEM version of Crystal Reports as a general purpose reporting tool.[6] Microsoft discontinued this practice and later released their own competing reporting tool, SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).[7][verification needed]
